Skiing at Plan de Corones
Alta Badia, the skiing resort in the heart of the Dolomites, also offers skiers a northern connection to the ski mountain at Plan de Corones (in German Kronplatz) giving skiers in Alta Badia even more choice. To the 130 kilometres (80 mi) slopes in the Alta Badia resort and 500 km (310 mi) around the Sella massif skiers have now also the ski slopes at Plan de Corones.
Thanks to a ski bus connection to Plan de Corones, skiers can use their Dolomiti Superski pass to get from Alta Badia, Pedraces/chair lift Sponata to the access point to the skiing region Plan de Corones, cable car Piculin. From the mountain station of the cable car Piculin, you can take the red run to reach San Vigilio and Plan de Corones.
On the way back to Alta Badia experienced skiers will take the black run Piculin, a special challenge starting at the cable car Piculin mountain station and descending 2,000 metres (6,561 ft) all the way down to the valley station in Piculin.
