In Alta Badia, ski instructors become ambassadors of a culture that goes beyond the slopes, introducing the wines, flavours and traditions that make this corner of South Tyrol so unique.

A day on the slopes with a taste of South Tyrol

A day with a Ski Wine Ambassador is much more than a day of skiing. Between runs, the slopes are combined with stops at mountain huts, tastings of South Tyrolean wines, and stories about the region, its grape varieties and its traditions. Guided by ski instructors, you discover the connection between the landscapes of Alta Badia and South Tyrol's wine culture. Every tasting is an opportunity to learn about the wines, the grape varieties they come from, and the people behind them. It is an experience that brings together skiing, flavour and the region, offering a different way to experience Alta Badia.

When skiing and wine speak the same language

The Ski Wine Ambassador project was created through a collaboration between Alta Badia and the South Tyrol Wine Consortium, with the aim of creating an experience that tells the story of the region in an authentic way. From this shared vision came a dedicated training programme for ski instructors. Through tastings, workshops and in-depth training, ski instructors gain a deep understanding of South Tyrol's wine culture, enabling them to tell the story of the region through its wines, weaving together snow, landscape and local food and wine traditions. A collaboration that brings together two of South Tyrol's greatest expressions.

A ski-loving wine consortium

The South Tyrol Wine Consortium brings together wineries, wine cooperatives and independent winegrowers across the province with the aim of promoting and celebrating South Tyrol's wine culture. It represents a unique wine region, where a remarkable diversity of grape varieties, elevations and climates gives rise to wines with a distinctive identity.
