Badia, in between farmsteads and rural culture
Badia, located at an altitude of 1,324 metres, is a peaceful village that has successfully retained its rural character. A genuine jewel of Alpine tradition that impresses with its well-preserved Ladin farmsteads, the “viles” as they are called in Ladin. A place where Ladin customs and traditions are carefully safeguarded, preserved and lovingly shared with the guests who are excited to be drawn into this unique world by the inhabitants of Badia. To this end, themed events such as the St. Leonhard Horse Ride are organised throughout the year. Most buildings, ranging from guest houses to hotels, have preserved their distinctive architectural character, thus offering a truly special charm to all those lodging here.
