Ski Carousel Vintage party, skiing and reviving times gone by. During the last days of the winter season, the state-of-the-art ski area of Alta Badia will be taking you back in time - by means of a popular event that was jointly launched by the local tourist board and the Skicarosello lift consortium.
Vintage is the motto of Alta Badia during the two days of the Ski Carousel Vintage Party, the event that marks the end of the ski season.
Here are a few pieces of information that apply for every edition:
Attention! On Monday all slopes close at 5:00 PM! After this time, until 7:00 PM, it will only be possible to ski down to Corvara from Rifugio Bioch via slopes 7 and 8. Chairlifts are only accessible with skis on; pedestrian access is not allowed.
Please be reminded that wearing a helmet is mandatory on the slopes.
To facilitate access to the event, on Monday bus line 460 will be reinforced from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Yes, it’s the Col Alt lift facility, which was built in 1946. That same year also marks the founding of the Ladinia Ski Club. When it comes to skiing pioneers, Alta Badia really holds its own.
The first chairlift was the Piz Sorega chairlift: how long did the ride take?
18 minutes and 30 seconds - which seems like forever compared to today’s approximately six minutes. However, it must be emphasised that, while the duration of the ride has considerably been reduced, the safety of the lift facilities has increased just as much, or even more.

La Para is the vintage location par excellence in Alta Badia: right here you can find one of the last remaining original ski lifts of the entire area.
