Ski Carousel Vintage party, skiing and reviving times gone by. During the last days of the winter season, the state-of-the-art ski area of Alta Badia will be taking you back in time - by means of a popular event that was jointly launched by the local tourist board and the Skicarosello lift consortium.
Vintage is the motto of Alta Badia during the two days of the Ski Carousel Vintage Party, the event that marks the end of the ski season.
Here are a few pieces of information that apply for every edition:
Attention! On Sunday all slopes close at 5:00 PM! After this time, until 7:00 PM, it will only be possible to ski down to Corvara from Rifugio Bioch via slopes 7 and 8. Chairlifts are only accessible with skis on; pedestrian access is not allowed.
Please be reminded that wearing a helmet is mandatory on the slopes.
To facilitate access to the event, bus line 460 will be reinforced from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Follow the SS244 Val Badia road.
Whenever possible, choose public transport to get around.

From 6:00 PM the main street will be closed to traffic, creating a unique vintage atmosphere. Together with Pizzeria Ariston, La Tradiziun, Pensione Camoscio, the La Villa youth group, Paul’s Pub, and Ristorante La Bercia, we invite you to experience an unforgettable evening.

The end-of-season party continues at Pineta in the center of Corvara. Sausages and burgers will be available to satisfy your hunger and thirst, thanks to the kind collaboration of the Corvara Tennis Center and Ice Stadium.
Let yourself be carried away by the immersive beats of DJ Luca, who will create the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable night.
The good old days: why revive them today?
It all makes sense if, in addition to the joy and fun, you also take some time to look in the mirror. Beautiful vintage clothes, funny and fashionable; great music, a delightful atmosphere amongst wool, lycra and old bindings. The future of skiing can’t left out its past.
Is it true that Italy’s first chairlift was built in Alta Badia?
Yes, it’s the Col Alt lift facility, which was built in 1946. That same year also marks the founding of the Ladinia Ski Club. When it comes to skiing pioneers, Alta Badia really holds its own.
The first chairlift was the Piz Sorega chairlift: how long did the ride take?
18 minutes and 30 seconds - which seems like forever compared to today’s approximately six minutes. However, it must be emphasised that, while the duration of the ride has considerably been reduced, the safety of the lift facilities has increased just as much, or even more.
Why is the race of the Ski Carousel Vintage party held in La Para?
La Para is the vintage location par excellence in Alta Badia: right here you can find one of the last remaining original ski lifts of the entire area.
