The specialities of award-winning chefs await snow lovers in the alpine huts of the Dolomites
Over the past fifteen years “A taste for skiing” has turned from a culinary highlight into an increasingly popular and well-attended event. Its format is as simple as delicious: the participating chefs design a dish to be matched to a mountain hut located on the slopes of Alta Badia and which will then be served to the skiers throughout the winter season.
A FEAST FOR THE SENSES
This year’s theme is a celebration of pure pleasure – sensual, tangible, aromatic. An indulgence that awakens all five senses and lets you experience the mountains through flavour: refined, honest, essential.
We’re in the process of shaping our creative palette and assembling the culinary line-up.
Very soon, we’ll unveil the chefs who will bring this concept to life – with freshness, flair, and a touch of alpine magic, right on the slopes.
A taste for skiing, deliciousness that turns into charity
Every dish served at “A taste for skiing” boasts a special ingredient which goes by the name of solidarity. Indeed, a part of the amount that you’ll pay for the meal is being donated to the foundation “La Miglior Vita Possibile” (“The Best Possible Life”), which supports the realisation of a new paediatric hospice in the Triveneto region. Each person who orders a dish will be gifted a box of chocolate candies manufactured by Crispo together with the young people of the Habile cooperative.
We're thrilled to announce that for every dish served during this season's initiative, €3.00 was collected. A huge thank you to our Alta Badia guests, whose participation led to 7,693 dishes being served, raising an impressive €24,146.70! These funds will now directly benefit the "La miglior vita possibile" foundation, helping them establish the new Northeast Reference Center for pediatric palliative care and pain therapy in the Veneto Region.
