A taste for skiing, haute cuisine at high altitudes
The specialities of award-winning chefs await snow lovers in the alpine huts of the Dolomites
Over the past fifteen years “A taste for skiing” has turned from a culinary highlight into an increasingly popular and well-attended event. Its format is as simple as delicious: the participating chefs design a dish to be matched to a mountain hut located on the slopes of Alta Badia and which will then be served to the skiers throughout the winter season.
For winter 2026/27, Sciare con Gusto explores the plant world as the central theme of this new edition.
Herbs, roots, vegetables, flowers, seeds and fruits become a source of inspiration for the participating chefs, who are invited to interpret them creatively in the dishes served in the mountain huts of Alta Badia. A theme that also celebrates the connection with nature and the rhythm of the seasons, elements that have always been deeply rooted in the mountains and their cuisine.
A taste for skiing, deliciousness that turns into charity
Every dish served as part of “Sciare con gusto” has a special ingredient: solidarity. For every dish served as part of the initiative, €3.00 are donated to La Miglior Vita Possibile, a foundation contributing to the creation of a new paediatric hospice serving the Triveneto area. Guests who order a dish also receive a box of chocolate sweets made by Crispo together with young people from the Habile cooperative.
Over the past four seasons, from 2022/23 to 2025/26, “Sciare con gusto” has raised a total of €84,483.70 for the La Miglior Vita Possibile Foundation, contributing to the creation of the new Regional Centre of Reference for paediatric palliative care and pain therapy in the Veneto region. This achievement was made possible thanks to the participation and generosity of Alta Badia’s guests.
