Cup marked stones can be found all over the world, but a particularly large number of these enigmatic engravings can be found in South Tyrol. Their purpose and meaning are still unclear. The oldest cup marked stones probably date back to the Neolithic period, the youngest to the Middle Ages.
Mario Clara has documented numerous sites in South Tyrol and especially in the Dolomites in meticulous work and presents them in his new book.
The presentation will be in Italian.
