Hike with a geologist - The Dolomites as you've never seen them

What can rocks reveal? And what about horizontal layers? Why does the landscape of the Dolomites have a particular shape? Its geometry is incredible to say the least. These and many other questions will be answered by Rossana, an expert geologist and connoisseur of the local area who will take you on a fascinating journey in front of the Sella range with hands-on experiments along the way. So much beauty!

 

Itinerary: Passo Gardena (2121 m) - panoramic path - Forceles - Colfosco (1645 m)

Meeting: 10.30 a.m. Colfosco Tourist Office (by bus to Passo Gardena - included with Alto Adige Guest Pass)

Return: approx. 4.00 p.m.

Distance: approx. 7 km

Walking: approx. 2 hours

Lunch: packed lunch

 

Domestic animals and strollers are not allowed.

Useful information and what to bring

Bring the confirmation of the reservation (also in digital format). For a safe mountain hike, it is necessary that you wear appropriate hiking shoes as well as sportswear suitable for the weather conditions and take mountain sticks with you. Remember to pack a backpack with your essentials: a water bottle, sunscreen, a cap, a wind and rain jacket, energy snacks and a packed lunch to recharge your batteries along the way.

Refund

The refund will be made with a medical certificate or if the event is cancelled by the Alta Badia Tourism Cooperative.

Getting there

Follow the SS244 Val Badia road towards Corvara and continue on road SS243 to Colfosco until you reach the tourist office in Str. Pecëi 2, where you have the possibility to park.

 

In order to encourage sustainable mobility, choose environmentally friendly means of transportation, such as public transport.

Reach the meeting point by bus: bus stop Colfosco (Corvara), Ufficio Turistico - line 460.
