Specialist Ophthalmic Outpatient Clinic Dr. Giovanni Volta

The ophthalmic practice offers:
- Biomicroscopy: 
direct examination at high magnification of the eyelids, conjunctiva, sclera, cornea, anterior chamber, iris, crystalline lens.
- Autorefractometry:
computerised objective examination of refractive defect (myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism).
- Visual acuity examination:
measurement of distance and near vision.
- Tonometry:
measurement of eye pressure to identify any increase in eye pressure, an important risk factor for glaucoma.
- Fundus Oculi examination:
study of the retina using a Biomicroscope.
- Pedriatic examinations:
measurement of vision in Cycloplegia, assessment of ocular motility, Cover Test, assessment of stereopsis and colour sense.

Eye examination by appointment.
