- Alta Badia, a certified destination
A destination looking ahead
Projects, initiatives and destination management tools
Alta Badia develops projects and initiatives that involve mobility, the local area, Ladin culture and the local community as part of a shared destination management approach. These include the Alta Badia Manifesto and the Alta Badia Actionplan, which bring together projects and initiatives dedicated to mobility, culture, destination management and collaboration with local stakeholders. Discover Alta Badia's projects and initiatives and explore the work carried out across the valley through activities, tools and initiatives dedicated to destination management.
Alta Badia, a GSTC-certified destination
An international certification for destination management
Alta Badia is a destination certified according to the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), an international standard for destination management. The certification covers destination management across a range of areas, including mobility, land management, cultural heritage, collaboration with the local community and tourism development. For Alta Badia, this is a continuous improvement process developed together with tourism operators, public institutions and local stakeholders through projects and initiatives.
Alta Badia and the Climate Plan: an integrated strategy to reduce emissions
The Alta Badia Climate Plan aims, in its first phase, to calculate the overall impact of the destination in terms of CO₂.
This figure, a milestone of the initiative, allows us to understand the current state of the destination and then develop and implement measures aimed at the gradual reduction of emissions within the Alta Badia Climate Plan. The project began in April 2022 by working with a sample of more than 120 tourism operators active across different sectors of the destination. They were asked to provide detailed information on consumption, mobility and lifestyles in order to build a database to support the planning of the actions envisaged by the plan.
The collaboration of private partners, including lift operators, tourism operators, municipalities and companies, is an integral part of the project and of the shared planning process of the Alta Badia Climate Plan.
A code of ethics for Alta Badia
Alta Badia Brand, the consortium formed by the four partners – Cooperativa Turistica Alta Badia, Consorzio Impianti a Fune Alta Badia, and the Organising Committees of the Alpine Ski World Cup and Maratona dles Dolomites–Enel – has as its primary task the management and promotion of the Alta Badia brand at national and international level.
For this reason, we have drawn up a Code of Ethics, which serves as a set of guidelines for the behaviour, processes and decisions of Alta Badia Brand's collaborators, employees, directors and partners.
The general principles are based on fundamental values such as legality and fairness, in compliance with the applicable regulations, professional ethics, the enhancement of human resources, and fundamental values such as human rights, the physical, cultural and moral integrity of individuals, and non-discrimination in the workplace on the grounds of sex, race, language, religion, political opinions, trade union membership, social or personal status.
We are committed every day to ensuring that everyone can express themselves in a context based on respect for people and equal opportunities.
