Travel green

Travelling while producing as few emissions as possible is a goal we can achieve – together!

As we all know, travelling causes CO2 emissions. By reaching your destination as environmentally friendly as possible, for example by train, bus or carpool, you can actively contribute to reducing your carbon footprint.

Even if you have reached Alta Badia by car, you can give your 4-wheeled companion a relaxing break on-site and move around using public transport, lifts and bicycles – true to the spirit of a sustainable holiday. Hand in your car keys at the reception of your accommodation facility and, thanks to the initiative "Stop, yet with pleasure", look forward to an enjoyable reward for your eco-friendly decision.

In order to allow you to move sustainably from one place to another during your holiday even at higher altitudes, in Alta Badia we have decided to open several lifts also in summer.

The Borest cable car offers the ideal way to move between Corvara and Colfosco without a car and foregoing the stressful search for a parking space: enjoy a short walk and a comfortable ride on the cable car overlooking the forest.
In addition, a short walk takes you from the Colfosco cable car station to the Plans-Frara lift, which takes you to the Passo Gardena mountain pass.

On the plateau of Piz Sorega and Piz La Ila, the chairlifts La Fraina and Bamby also connect the villages of La Villa and San Cassiano. You can easily reach both on foot amidst a beautiful natural setting.

Alto Adige per tutti – Südtirol für alle

The initiative "Alto Adige per tutti" aims at enabling everyone to enjoy a barrier-free holiday in the mountains of South Tyrol.

It is a user-friendly and useful digital platform that is primarily addressed to people with disabilities, but also represents a useful tool for older people, families with small children and people with allergies or food intolerances.

The platform offers information about hotels, restaurants, museums, swimming pools, cable cars, trains and hiking trails whose barrier-free access is not only reported, but also proven! It is therefore a comprehensive archive with useful information for planning a barrier-free stay.
