Podcast NOS, Alta Badia loud and clear

NOS. The podcast series from Alta Badia Brand addresses all guests who are interested in learning more about us Ladins, our culture and our traditions. Meet us Ladins up close.

3 minutes

NOS is Ladin and means “us”. Us Ladins, who have been part of this magical alpine world for centuries. Us, who have our very own, deeply rooted language. A centuries-old language that emerged from two worlds - Latin and Rhaetian - and found a particular harmony in our valleys. Us, who were once farmers and today fulfil our desire to combine hospitality and entrepreneurial spirit with our traditions - after all, future is only feasible as long as we keep our heritage alive. Us, a multifaceted community in constant evolution. One thousand voices that we are happy to introduce to you.

NOS: one territory, one community, one culture

There is the voice of the hotelier who recalls the first pioneers of tourism, the first ski lifts from the 1930s, majestic snowfalls. A host who nowadays not only has to face a world in constant transformation, but also has to find new ways of addressing the issues that are increasingly on our minds - with climate change taking centre stage.

There is the voice of the craftsman - custodian of a centuries-old art - who, amidst wooden inlays, embroideries and skilful ornaments, narrates stories that may seem simple, yet are as powerful as the rocks towering so imposingly above us all.

There is the voice of the mountain guide, the well-versed skier, the relentless cyclist or the nature enthusiast who knows every detail about the flora and fauna of the Dolomites. Voices that join you on unforgettable excursions between alpine pastures and farmsteads, winding peaks and steep rock faces, well-kept slopes and spectacular bends.

There are the voices of the chefs who preserve the flavours of our valley with their hands. Or the voices of the farmers who smell of freshly milked milk. The voices of our artists who bring the Ladin world to life in their art; sculpting, painting or performing it. A world that is far more colourful and varied as you may imagine.

The voices of us Ladins, NOS. Us, who are living here, dreaming, remembering and creating. We have recorded all these voices, assembled them and set to music in order to introduce you to them. This way you can breathe in the soothing and wonderful air of the Dolomites even from afar.
