In Ladin, NOS means “we.” We are the mountain people – sons and daughters of these valleys, breathing history and beauty. We are the heirs to an ancient language, woven from Latin and Rhaetian, still guarded today like a precious treasure. We were once farmers, and are now hosts and storytellers of a land that thrives on hospitality, hard work, and memory. Each episode invites you to hear the thousand voices of our community: memories, traditions, crafts, flavors, songs, and legends.

Farm life

In Colfosco, Alisa and Daniel have transformed an old barn into an organic educational farm set amidst the natural beauty of the Dolomites. Since 2019, they have devoted themselves with passion to caring for llamas, alpacas, Tibetan goats, chickens and bees, in full respect of the environment and Alpine traditions.


On the occasions of 14 and 28 July, Alisa welcomes guests to share the daily life of the farm. An authentic opportunity to encounter the animals up close and rediscover the essential rhythms of mountain life.

Freddy

Alta Badia through the lens

Freddy Planinschek, born and raised in Alta Badia, is among the photographers who have most effectively documented this region over time. Through his lens, he has captured events, moments of everyday life and the transformations of the valley, creating a valuable visual memory.


During the meetings on 17 and 31 July and 2 September, he guides guests on a journey between past and present, revealing how life in the mountains has evolved over time. His photographs thus become authentic narratives, capable of unveiling the deepest soul of Alta Badia.

Daniel

Alpine pasture life

From an early age, Daniel discovered the world of pastoral life by following his father across the mountain pastures, learning the gestures and rhythms of life at high altitude. Over the years, this initial curiosity evolved into a deep passion, nurtured alongside his dog and his animals, until it became his full-time profession in 2022.


During the experiences on 22 July and 25 August, accompanied by a guide and Daniel, guests spend a day on the alpine pasture in close contact with nature. In the morning, they follow the herd to the grazing fields, immersing themselves in the slow rhythms of the mountains, before enjoying a pause in an atmosphere of genuine tranquillity.

Davide

Cooking Class in the mountains

A passion for cooking and a love for the mountains come together in the story of Davide, a personal chef who creates gastronomic experiences at 1,850 metres above sea level, where each dish reinterprets Ladin tradition with a contemporary touch.


After a pleasant guided hike along the Artists’ Trail, guests reach a mountain hut surrounded by nature. There, during the sessions on 5 and 27 August, and 9 September, Davide leads a cooking class dedicated to a traditional Ladin dish, sharing techniques, secrets and practical tips for its preparation. The experience culminates in the most anticipated moment: the tasting, to be enjoyed in an authentic and convivial atmosphere.

Fabian

Visit to the dairy

Fabian grew up with a deep passion for cooking, which, after years of experience as a chef, led him to rediscover his roots and devote himself to cheese-making on his family farm.


During the experiences on 24 June and 1 and 8 July, participants embark on an authentic journey into the heart of local cheesemaking tradition. The visit begins with the discovery of the farmstead, a place rich in history and authenticity, and continues inside an award-winning dairy, where it is possible to observe the various stages of production up close and explore the spaces where this outstanding product takes shape.
