Saus di paurs - Farmers' flavours
An authentic experience among the farms of Badia, discovering rural life and the flavours of Ladin tradition.
Starting from the church in Badia, a pleasant hike will take you through the village’s meadows and farms, where you’ll stop to learn about the history and traditions of each farm and gather the ingredients that, step by step, will be used to prepare a traditional Ladin dish.
Your guide, Caterina, will be joined by Helga, a local expert with deep knowledge of mountain herbs, who will share fascinating facts about nature and mountain plants along the way.
The hike ends at L’Tamà mountain hut, where, together with Helga, you’ll prepare traditional tutres, which you’ll then enjoy for dinner accompanied by panicia, the typical Ladin buckwheat soup.
A shuttle service will take you back to Badia.
Included in the experience: a guided hike with stops at farmsteads and stories from the farmers, a workshop on preparing a Ladin dish, dinner featuring tutres and panicia, and the shuttle back to Badia.
This programme was created by students of the ITE school in La Villa.
