Hike across the Setsas and Pralongiá plateau

A moderately difficult high-altitude hike from the Valparola Pass over the Setsas to the green meadows of the Pralongiá plateau. Here you can admire a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding majestic Dolomite peaks. The tour ends with the descent to Corvara and the return to the starting point.

 

Itinerary: Passo Valparola pass (2178 m) - Setsas crossing - Pralongiá plateau (2109 m) - Corvara (1568 m)

Difficulty: medium

Meeting: 8.10 a.m. Corvara Tourist Office (by bus to Passo Valparola pass - included with Alto Adige Guest Pass)

Return: approx. 4.00 p.m.

Altitude diff.: ↑ approx. 310 m ↓ approx. 940 m

Distance: approx. 12,5 km

Walking: approx. 5,5 hours

Lunch: packed lunch or break in a mountain hut

 

The guide speaks Italian and German.

 

Domestic animals and strollers are not allowed.

 

Parking (for a fee) behind the local church, at the Boé cable car and at the market square.

 

Information and reservation at the tourist offices or online by the day before (limited places).

 

During the event photos or video footage may be taken for the purpose of documentation and promotion of the event and the region. The footage may be used and published on websites, on social networks and on media in compliance with the data protection regulations.

Useful information and what to bring

Bring the confirmation of the reservation (also in digital format). For a safe mountain hike, it is necessary that you wear appropriate hiking shoes as well as sportswear suitable for the weather conditions and take mountain sticks with you. Remember to pack a backpack with your essentials: a water bottle, sunscreen, a cap, a wind and rain jacket and energy snacks to recharge your batteries along the way.

Lunch: break in a mountain hut or packed lunch.

Refund

The refund will be made with a medical certificate or if the event is cancelled by the Alta Badia Tourism Cooperative.

Getting there

Follow the SS244 Val Badia road towards Corvara until you reach the tourist office in Str. Col Alt 36, where you have the possibility to park.

 

In order to encourage sustainable mobility, choose environmentally friendly means of transportation, such as public transport.

Reach the meeting point by bus: bus stop Corvara in Badia, Comune - line 460.
