In 2026, the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi will be commemorated.
To mark this occasion, the vocal ensemble AllaBreve presents a concert project dedicated to his legacy.
The programme features a cappella works with texts by St. Francis in different languages, including Peter Ebn’s Canticle of the Sun and Franz Herzog’s Laudato si’.
The programme is complemented by vocal works from different periods.
AllaBreve is a South Tyrolean vocal ensemble that brings together mainly music educators and choir conductors from across the region. Its aim is to perform demanding vocal repertoire from different periods.
Founded in 1997, the ensemble has worked with renowned musicians such as founding member Waltraud Pörnbacher, Franz Comploj and Davide Lorenzato.
Since January 2019, the ensemble has been under the artistic direction of Nataliya Lukina, a professional choir conductor and vocal coach originally from Ukraine.
