No competitions take place here, no restrictions are imposed, and nothing alters the experience you know and love. Lifts are running, slopes are impeccably prepared, and all services are fully operational. Each day begins with the profile of the peaks in the morning and ends with the crunch of snow beneath your skis.
For those who want to feel the spirit of the Games up close, the events are just a few kilometers away. For those who simply want to enjoy the mountains as every winter, everything remains the same.

Same slopes, same snow, same pleasure
For those with race tickets, Alta Badia is the place where you can reach the competitions on skis, right in the heart of the Milano Cortina 2026 atmosphere. And for those who prefer the mountain as it’s always been, nothing changes here: the same slopes, the same rhythm, the same sense of freedom every winter brings.
Mobility and access
During the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, access to Cortina d’Ampezzo will be regulated to ensure a safe and well-managed flow of visitors.
Throughout the entire Olympic and Paralympic period, the centre of Cortina d’Ampezzo cannot be reached by private vehicles. Access is available exclusively via shuttle services and is reserved for spectators holding a valid event ticket.
From Son dei Prade, beyond the 5 Torri area, an official shuttle service organised by the Cortina Organising Committee will operate daily for the full duration of the Olympic Games, providing direct access to the centre of Cortina.
In addition, the Alta Badia Tourism Cooperative, in cooperation with the Alta Badia Taxi Consortium, offers a dedicated shuttle service to Son dei Prade, reserved for spectators with a valid event ticket. Departures are scheduled from Colfosco, with intermediate stops in Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano.
Information on schedules, prices and booking procedures is available directly on the booking page. Alternatively, Son dei Prade can be reached by private vehicle; however, this option is not recommended due to the expected high traffic volume. Access to the competition area on skis is not permitted, and it is not possible to ski from Alta Badia to Cortina to attend the events.

Can I ski in Alta Badia without worrying about closures or restrictions?
Absolutely. The ski lifts and runs in Alta Badia operate as usual, even during the pre-Olympic and Olympic period. The valley does not host any competitions and no special restrictions are in place.
Will the snow and facilities be up to their usual standard?
Yes. With snowmaking and daily maintenance, the runs are always perfectly groomed, the slopes remain in top condition, and the lifts are reliable from the first run to the last of the day.
How can I check the condition of the roads and traffic in the valley?

Will there be any changes to ski pass or service prices in Alta Badia?
No. Prices remain transparent and consistent, with no increases related to the Olympic year.
Will the major ski circuits be fully accessible?
Yes. The Sellaronda and the First World War ski route remain open and fully accessible.
