This educational extends through larch woods and mountain meadows at the foot of the Nature Park Fanes–Senes–Braies between the farms Rü and Rüdeferia. At the Rüdeferia farm, you can admire a recently restored water mill, which is now in perfect working order again.

All along the trail, you find information signs and cards giving the main details of some of the types of plants and shrubs and boards carrying information on the area’s flora, fauna and geology.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the church of San Cassiano, take the tarmac road nr. 15 upwards going east, which leads to the Larjëi farm. From here, on the right, follow road nr. 15A to reach the hamlet of Rü. Here, on the left between two fences, the educational Larch path starts and goes slightly downhill towards the farm of Rüdeferia (1 h). To go back to San Cassiano (40 min.), return on the same path in a south direction until the junction, where on the right, path nr. 15 descends firstly to the Larjëi farm and finally to San Cassiano.
