The Sellaronda in summer
In the summer, the tour over legendary passes such as the Gardena, Sella, Pordoi and Campolongo on the race bicycle is a classic.
The route covering 58 km (36.7 mi) and roughly 1,800 metres (5,905 ft) of altitude difference is simply a must for bicycle athletes. You can ride them separately but also experience and enjoy them in the course of one of the popular cycling events.
But for bicycle lovers there is also a more unhurried option. During the Sellaronda Bike Day in June, the route is reserved for bicyclists who prefer to ride the way they feel like, without having their time taken. A people's cycling day of superlatives.
Off the streets, you can experience the Sellaronda in a highly individualised way on your mountain bike riding the Sellaronda MTB Tour. The tour has two variants - a clock-wise run and a counter-clockwise run.
Thanks to the possibility of transporting bicycles with the lifts, the Dolomite passes Gardena, Campolongo, Pordoi and Sella have been easily accessible for some years even for those who are a little less trained.
Last but not least, the Sellaronda is also the stage of a very tough trail running race, the DoloMyths Sellaronda Ultra Trail.
