Exciting winter events
Naturally, winter-events in Alta Badia revolve around snow. In December, thousands of sporting enthusiasts meet in La Villa for the men's worldcup races on the Gran Risa slope and cheer on their favourite skier.
Very popular is the Ski Carousel Vintage Party, the two-day event for ski fans and nostalgic which takes place on the slopes, in the refuges and in the bars of Alta Badia.
International summer events
Large international sporting events bring thousands of sports enthusiasts to Alta Badia every summer.
More than 9,000 cyclists participate in the cycling marathon Maratona dles Dolomites in early July to compete with like-minded athletes on the Dolomites' streets.
When it comes to the Sellaronda Bike Day, held usually at end of June, the motto is to be there, not to win. The cycling day around the Sella massive attracts more than 25,000 cycling enthusiasts. The great part about it is that the streets around the Sella are only open for cyclists on this day.
And, in the addition to the international sporting events, in Alta Badia you can participate in festivals, parties and evenings dedicated to gastronomy, culture and old traditions.
Year by year, new events expand the programme. Of course, this includes sport events and presentations, but also forest and tent festivals, exhibitions and musical evenings. Music plays a big role in Alta Badia - from classical to modern and traditional bands - music is being played in every village in Alta Badia and you are cordially invited.
