In 2015, at the age of 29, he contracted meningitis with meningococcal sepsis, after a month of coma he lost both legs and seven fingers.
First Italian male athlete with double amputation of the lower limbs to drop below 12 seconds in the 100 meter sprint, he conquered three Italian records, two bronze medals as well as a silver one at the European Championships, and a silver at the 2017 World Championships. In this year there was also the return on rock, in climbing and mountaineering. He started dreaming of climbing Mount Everest and all Seven Summits. An athlete who is a symbol of life.
