Via ferrata Les Cordes

For many decades now, the farmers of La Villa have been leading their cows and horses to the pasture of the Gherdenacia Plateau in the Puez-Odle natural park, UNESCO World Heritage site. The villagers once knew a direct path to get here, iIt was much steeper and more demanding than the routes that lead there today. The path was called "les cordes" ("the ropes" in Ladin). Along this challenging route a via ferrata has been set up.
The starting point of the via ferrata “Les Cordes” is easily accessible with the Gardenaccia chairlift. From the mountain station of the chairlift it is only a 5 minutes’ walk to the starting point.

It is advised to climb the via ferrata only with the appropriate equipment. Less experienced mountaineers should tackle the climb accompanied by a professional mountain guide.
