Skiing in the Valle Stella Alpina - Edelweiss valley
The ski excursion in the Val Stella Alpina – Edelweiss valley in Colfoso is a popular destination in the Dolomiti Superski skiing resort. A cable car connects the Sellaronda with the easy slopes of Edelweiss valley.
The Col Pradat cable car (connected to the other villages in Alta Badia via slopes and lifts), right in the centre of Colfosco, brings you into the Edelweiss valley. On the wide, sunny slopes in the lovely little valley on the edge of Puez-Odle natural park, families, beginners and leisure skiers get their money's worth.
The 5.5 km (3.7 mi) wide, sunny and perfectly groomed slopes, the panoramic view to Val Mezdi valley in the Sella massif and the cosy mountain huts create a relaxed skiing experience for everybody.
The slopes:
• from Mount Forcelles - red slope with a number of variants - altitude difference approx. 500 m (1,640 ft)
• from Mount Col Pradat - red run Col Pradat which also features a short black variant at the beginning
• in the basin - blue run Edelweiss, especially well suited for children and beginners.
