This easy circular hike with start in the center of La Valle winds along the characteristic rural landscapes of our valley and allows you to see some of the most beautiful "viles" (the traditional widespread rural settlements) of Val Badia.

Turn-by-turn directions

Route: This circular tour starts in the centre of La Val, following the signposts for trail no. 6 as far as the St Barbara’s Church (1,509 m). From here, the trail continues to the left and goes through the hamlets of Ciablun (1,572 m), Runch (1,600 m) and Biei (1,613 m). Climb gradually uphill through the forest on trail no. 5, and then continue on 4B and 4 to the Cor viewpoint (1,894 m). From here you have a wonderful view; on the right towards the Valle di Marebbe valley, and on the left of the slopes below the Sass de Putia. To go back down, stay on trail no. 4 to Ciampëi (1,516 m), then take the "Tru dles Viles" trail towards Biei. Then continue down the valley on trail no. 5 to Cians (1,468 m) and follow the main road back into the village.

  • Coming from Innsbruck: take the A 13 and the A 22 toll motorway and exit at Bressanone/Brixen, following the signs to Brunico/Bruneck along the Val Pusteria/Pustertal road as far as San Lorenzo/St.Lorenzen. Follow the signs to Val Badia/Gadertal 
  • Coming from Verona-Bolzano: take the A 22, exit at Bressanone/Brixen and continue as above
