From Corvara to Piz Boè and up to the Ju de Frara/Passo Gardena Overview: Piz Boè, the highest mountain in the majestic Grup dl Sela, is considered one of the most evocative settings in the Dolomites. Its position enables you to see nearly all the Dolomites lined up on the infinity line of the horizont.
Starting point: Corvara (1555 m) - cable car Boè, chair lift Vallon.
Itinerary: Walk downwards heading south-west from the Vallon chair lift to a hollow, then climb upwards in the direction of the southeast, where you will come to a junction (left will take you to the Ütia Franz Kostner Hut) but keep right, until you reach the next one. At this point, take trail nr. 672 on the right which enters the wide gully on the scree slope’s right side, close up to below the walls. Climb up over easy boulders, partially equipped, until reaching a vast screefilled dip. Cross the dip and then walk along the gully’s left side.
You exit from the mountainous gorge onto a narrow overhang. Heading south-west, along the trail, which begins on even ground but subsequently rises, you will arrive at the peak of ‘Cresta Strënta’ after crossing a steep scree slope. Walk along the ridge and in no time at all, you come to Piz Boè (3159 m) (2h 20min.), from where you can enjoy the exciting views. The trail will take you throughthe entire Mëisules plateau, before you make your way down along a gully (snow) and rock steps to the Ütia Pisciadù Hut (2580 m).
