Food Forest: the forest garden of Passo Campolongo
Walk, breathe, gather and learn
Alta Badia, in collaboration with Etifor, has identified the Masisti Forest at Passo Campolongo as the ideal location for creating the Food Forest. Thanks to the WOWnature project, the reforestation process began in 2020 after the damage caused by the Vaia storm. In this forest, which is open to visitors during the summer months, a rich biodiversity has developed, and you can now find delightful surprises, including blueberries, raspberries, wild strawberries, juniper berries, and elderberries. Visitors can create their own self-guided paths to discover what Mother Nature has to offer. Along the trail, informational panels reveal the secrets of the forest and provide tips on how the herbs and fruits gathered are used in traditional Ladin cuisine.
