Lunch on the slopes with a tasting menu and South Tyrolean wine pairing

For lovers of good wine and good food, a special edition of Sommelier on the slopes has been organised for winter 2022. From 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. you can enjoy a four-course themed menu in the participating huts on the slopes of Corvara and La Villa. The individual courses will be accompanied by a South Tyrolean wine chosen to bring out the flavour of each dish.
The special edition menus can be ordered for the price of Euro 100.00 per person.
The mountain huts, the dates and the menus
The right combination means bringing together what belongs together. It takes art, taste, knowledge and creativity to create the right harmony between shapes, colours and materials. When it comes to wine and food, it is important to find the perfect balance between the liquid and the solid components. And when this happens at breathtaking heights, in the middle of the Dolomites, the tasting becomes a highlight.

Typical South Tyrolean dishes combined with non-local products.
° Porcini mushroom dumplings on Trentino Parmesan crème brulé with black truffle
° Beetroot risotto with Wagyu meat and cabbage espuma
° Fillet of venison with lobster hollandaise sauce, sesame carrot, king trumpet mushrooms
° Apple-filled crescents on lemon cream
° Kettmeir Rose Spumante Athesis with the dumplings

For a menu with a strong South Tyrolean character, wines with good taste characteristics are ideal. When the cheese plays the leading role, even if it is light and balanced, the wines are perfect with their freshness and smoothness. There is no better way to contrast and balance the flavours of delicate fresh cheeses.
Price: Euro 100,00/person. This price is valid only for guests staying in accommodation provided by a member of the Alta Badia tourist board and does not include the lift ticket.

The wine tastings are organised in cooperation with Alto Adige Wine and South Tyrol’s Sommelier Association and they will follow the classic scheme provided by AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) analyzing first the visual characteristics, then the olfactory one and finally the gustative one.
