What can rocks reveal? And what about horizontal layers? Why does the landscape of the Dolomites have a particular shape? Its geometry is incredible to say the least. These and many other questions will be answered by Rossana, an expert geologist and connoisseur of the local area who will take you on a fascinating journey around the Sella range with hands-on experiments along the way. So much beauty!
Itinerary: Passo Gardena (2121 m) – Pisciadú waterfall – Val Mezdí valley – Colfosco (1645 m)
Meeting: 9.30 a.m. Colfosco Tourist Office (by bus to Passo Gardena – for a fee)
Return: approx. 4.00 p.m.
Altitude diff.: ↑ approx. 120 m ↓ approx. 610 m (the descent is difficult, sure-footedness is required)
Distance: approx. 6 km
Walking: approx. 2,5 hours
Lunch: packed lunch
Domestic animals are not allowed.
Strollers are not allowed.
Information and reservation at the tourist offices or online within the day before (limited places).

Useful informations / what to bring
Bring the confirmation of the reservation (also in digital format). It is important to have trekking shoes, mountain sticks and mountain wear.
The refund will be made with a medical certificate or if the event is cancelled by the Alta Badia Tourism Cooperative.
Follow the SS244 Val Badia road towards Colfosco.
