    The groundbreaking event that brings together the best of contemporary food and wine returns from July 27th to 29th in San Cassiano with a new summer edition. Organized by the historic Ciasa Salares, an iconic hotel in Alta Badia and a guardian of local culinary tradition, Roots of Excellence celebrates the essence of authenticity and sustainability, striving for the highest quality without geographical boundaries.

    Roots of Excellence will unfold over three days, each with a distinct theme, featuring tastings, talks, and meetings with artisans of taste who will share their vision of authentic gastronomy in some of the most iconic locations in Alta Badia, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomites.

    The theme of the first day will be high-altitude cuisine, with a gathering at the Ciasa Salares huts alongside top Italian producers of cold cuts, cheeses, and meats. The second day will be centered around the grill in the dedicated spaces of Sass Dlacia, at the entrance to the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park. As per tradition, the event will conclude on Monday at Ciasa Salares itself, the "home" where it all began, hosting tasting stands with chefs, producers, and winemakers.
