The most photogenic parts of Alta Badia, in the south-eastern reagion of South Tyrol, are made up of gentle meadows and lush high plateaus, with majestic peaks rising above them. The sun blessed panorama is framed by the Fanes-Senes-Braies and Puez-Odle nature parks. Since 2009 the two parks have been part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site. The Dolomites of Alta Badia are among the most stunning mountains in the world. The famous architect Le Corbusier (1887–1965), called them "The most beautiful work of architecture in the world".
