Ski map Alta Badia in pdf format

Skicarosello Alta Badia

Skicarosello is the name given to the skiing area that extends between Corvara, La Villa, San Cassiano and the plateau of Pralong - Cherz.

It is a carousel of 25 ski lifts and over 80 km of slopes that to be fully explored requires a minimum of 2 days and does not require a fixed itinerary. From Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano comfortable gondolas lead directly to its slopes.

In the skicarosello area in 1947 the first chairlift in Italy was built, the chairlift Col Alto. At that time the hourly transport capacity of the lift was 163 people per hour, today the modern cable car has 2400.

The carousel is characterized by the medium-easy slopes of the Piz o Sorega - Piz La Villa - Pralongià - Cherz plateau and the predominantly red slopes that descend to the valley: the "A" slope from Piz Sorega to San Cassiano, the "Alting" slope from Piz La Villa to La Villa and in Corvara the slopes "Col Alto, Arlara" and "Boè."

For expert skiers the showpiece of the carousel are the 2 black runs: the "Gran Risa" in La Villa, famous for the World Cup men's giant slalom and the "Vallon" to Corvara. The latter, offers 4.3 km of downhill fun with 997 m altitude difference.
