Santa Croce gourmet ski tour

Skiing and traditional cuisine: the Dolomites for connoisseurs

The skitour

The Santa Croce ski tour holds, without doubt, pride of place as far as panoramic-gourmet skiing excursions in the Dolomites are concerned taking you from Col Alto or Piz Sorega to Santa Croce, all still with your skis attached, thanks to the Colz chair lift in the centre of La Villa.

With its easy to medium ski slopes, it is ideal for both families and skiers who want to spend a relaxing day at one with the nature and culture of our valley. Kissed by the sun for the whole winter, this gastronomic tour offers breath-taking views over a wide hollow of Ladin woods and hamlets. A glance at the parish church of Badia, the birthplace of Saint Freinademetz and the traditional “viles”, the Fussé, Coz and Pransarores hamlets are a “must” just before reaching the Santa Croce church at the foot of the mountain of the same name.

For gourmets

Culinary delicacies will not be in short supply at any of the refuges within the Santa Croce Skitour area. You can taste local specialities along the whole route, at the eight refuges which are part of the singular Gourmet SKITOUR. Each Alpine hut is, in fact, specialized in the presentation of a certain dishes which will be combined with excellent wines from the South Tyrol. The eight family-owned refuges have all the characteristics that make this lovely region of the South Tyrol such a pleasure to visit: a warm welcome by genuinely friendly staff and lovely Ladin decor - all enhanced by excellent quality and exceptional value for money.
