St. Joseph Freinademetz is the first Saint of Val Badia and South Tyrol. His birthplace in Oies/Badia is visited every year by many pilgrims. In a room on the first floor of the house various relics are exposed: Chinese clothing and many letters handwritten by the Holy. At the ground floor of the house you find a small chapel where a Holy Mass is celebrated at least one a day. A new church was built in 1995 near the house, in the former barn of the Oies farm house.

The small church of Santa Croce, at the foot of the homonymous mountain in the Natural Park of Fanes - Senes - Braies, is very beloved among the people of Val Badia. It is a place of pilgrimage, particularly during the summer season.

In the characteristic "Stuben" of the hospice you can have lunch with succulent specialties of the Ladin cuisine or taste a great "Kaiserschmarren", the famous sweet omelette.

The Saint Barbara church is to be found boldly perched on the crest of a cliff, half an hour walk from the village centre of La Val. The church was built by the Valparola’s miners that worked the minerals extracted form the Monte Pore.

The meditation path that goes from the locality of San Cassiano/Armentarola - Sarè to the "Sass Dlacia" chapel was set up to be a source of peace and serenity for those who walk along it.
