The Ladin population is characterised by its language (Ladino) as well as by its ancient and proud culture based around agriculture and artisans. This culture has traditionally respected and conserved the natural environment, adopting among other things a specific type of architecture to create a balance and harmony between the natural landscape and civilisation.

The symbiosis of man with nature is apparent even in artisan work; in the suitability of goods provided by the earth for the creation of unique products.
