The First World War ski tour

80 km of history and nature, along perfectly prepared slopes

More than eighty kilometres of history and nature, along perfectly prepared slopes and the unique Dolomites landscape: this is, in a few words, the essence of the Great War Ski Tour.

The tour winds around Mt. Col di Lana, a battlefield during the 1st World War (1915 – 1918). Starting from Alta Badia and passing through  Passo Campolongo you get to Arabba and from there Malga Ciapela (from Malga Ciapela you can take the lifts to the Marmolada glacier – these lifts are included in the Dolomiti Superski skipass). From Malga Ciapela continue by ski bus to Alleghe and from Alleghe you can ski as far as Pescul where you take a ski bus to the Fedare refuge. After the Averau you ski down the Cinque Torri slopes as far as the Cinque Torri car park, where you take a bus for Mt. Lagazuoi. From the Lagazuoi you continue to Alta Badia following  the "Skitour Lagazuoi" itinerary.

In order to complete the tour at leisure, we advise you to leave early in the morning.
