The gastronomic highlight in South Tyrol

More than 100 of the world's best chefs and international wine producers are expected for the Chef's Cup Südtirol, in a union of high class cuisine, sport, enjoyment and solidarity.

Horse-drawn sleigh competitions: 12.01.2010, 26.01.2010, 23.02.2010

				By the middle of the twentieth century the farmers of Alta Badia used to meet on Carnival Sunday for a horse-drawn sleight competition. Over the last 20 years the horse races with sleighs and skijöring have been re-established although in a somewhat more modern way. They take place late in the evening at the sports field in La Villa.

"Slittada da paur" - the horse-drawn sleigh parade , 14.02.2010

Alta Badia - Dolomiti, la caratteristica slittada da paur, sfilata di cavalli e costumi a La Villa

Over the past years, in remembrance of the “Carnival Sunday parade” the farmers from Alta Badia meet up for a day dedicated entirely to their great passions – horses and sleighs. Dressed up in the typical festival costumes and sitting on their characteristic sleights they for a trip among the snow filled meadows until the sports field in La Villa where they will participate in a horse-drawn sleight contest. Estimated time of arrival at the sports field is at noon.

Tour de Sas - touring ski competion, 27.02.2010

In this national touring ski competition organised by the association Badiasport the athletes start in the town of Badia and across the picturesque snow-covered landscape of the natural park Fanes - Sennes - Braies until the Lavarella mountain hut and return to Badia through the challenging Val de Medesc. They will cover a distance of 25 km with an altitude difference of 2,100 metres.

The Sellaronda Skimarathon, the international touring ski competition by night through the Dolomites passes of Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella and Gardena, is an exciting and enduring race for very trained skiers.

Freeride Val Mezdì - 27.03.2010

27.03.2010: the Alta Badia Freeride Association organizes a non-competitive meeting along de Val de Misdé/Val Mezdì.

The appointment for the freeride race in the Val Mesdì is for March 2011.
