The skiing conditions in the Dolomiti Superski ski areas, including Alta Badia, are ideal: the slopes are situated at –"snow-proof" altitudes between 1,500 and 3,269 metres, and the very low air humidity grants extremely powdery snow. The ski season goes from November to April.
With more than 1,200 of slopes Alta Badia and the entire ski area of the Dolomites are a true winter paradise, a winter paradise, formed 200 million years ago from the primordial sea. Once upon a time, in fact, the highest and most famous peaks of the Dolomites such as the Sella massif, the Marmolada glacier and the Civetta mountain were all atolls.
